Information on Butterflies,
Butterfly Myths as well as History of Butterflies
So much to talk about it's difficult to know how to aportion all of this information
into a sensible and easily searchable butterfly resource.
I want to share with you lots of information on butterflies.
Not just the dry, academic facts on butterflies, but the more
esoteric, the unusual and the fascinating. Mixed in with that,
and perhaps in a separate section once it gets big enough, there
will be a little bit about butterfly fiction or myths.
If you can add to everyone's knowledge with
little snippets of information on butterflies then personally-speaking
I will be absolutely thrilled to hear of it... and I hope visitors
will enjoy reading it too. You can contact
us here to tell us more.
There is a fair-sized section on historical facts on the little
butterfly. Again, no boring stuff, but some butterfly facts to
amaze and astound you. No, really! I have a fascination for old
books as well as butterflies, so marrying the two is double the
fun. Some of the facts I've found in old butterfly books are fascinating,
especially the style in which they are written.
You can read more about that in the butterfly history section
below which is my favourite area.

History of Butterflies
I'm not talking the life-cycle of the butterfly here.
This is about how butterflies were perceived, documented
and observed over the last few centuries...

| Do you run a site that should
be mentioned here? Are you butterfly-related and/or do you
have a historical interest? Or perhaps you have a butterfly
interest site that talks about butterflies in other parts
of the world (other than the US or UK)? Why don't you tell
us about it. I'm sure we will be interested to view
it and give it an airing on our pages. |
